WWE’s Clash Of Champions

      World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is a televised wrestling program. It offers entertainment such as wrestling, scripts, characters, etc. WWE has been televised since the 1980’s. It is split into two shows, one called Monday Night Raw and the other called Tuesday Night Smackdown. Throughout the year, WWE provides major wrestling events between both shows called a pay per view (PPV). 

        On September 15, 2019, WWE had a pay per view called Clash Of Champions on the WWE network, which is an app that allows you to watch pay per views with a subscription plan. It took place in Spectrum Center, Charlotte, NC. This major event was headlined by many popular superstars like, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins.

      Clash Of Champions consisted of many matches and segments. 11th grader, Stan Jones, loved this pay per view. He said, “It was epic and my favorite PPV so far this year, I found every match entertaining.” Jones also felt this pay per view was the best of this year. He exclaimed, “I think it’s the best this year as there were a decent amount of title changes and surprises and there was not really one bad match and every match served its purpose.” Although the matches were great, a specific person caught the eyes of people. High Schooler, Bryan Foley, is a huge fan of Sasha Banks. He stated, “Sasha’s match was the only one I enjoyed only because Sasha was wrestling and the PPV was honestly boring besides Sasha.” Each wrestler gives their all in every match they are in.

      Clash of Champions showed most fans how hard the talents really work. Foley said, “The talent in this era has increased but they aren’t being used properly.” In some cases the talent in WWE are not being used as well as they should, because many of the wrestlers outshine each other but do not get enough time to showcase their moves. 10th grader, Elyssa Didomizio feels that the talent as a whole is not where it should be. She said, “The current talent definitely has had better days, it would be even better if the talent was used properly.” All the wrestlers should be able to showcase their talent to give amazing matches. \

         Even Though the wrestlers are not being used as they should be, Clash of Champions really made wrestling fans happy. Many people have been fans of wrestling for a long time because of how addictive and entertaining it is. Jones has been a fan for a long time. He exclaimed, “ I have been a fan for 8 years.” WWE is not just a sport but a time to enjoy watching people you love.
