Tyler Perry’s New Achievement

    Tyler Perry is a household name. Whether it is starring or directing in it, he is a creative force behind 22 movies. Perry has taken the Hollywood scene by storm. Even as a 50 year old, he is not done yet and will not be for a long time. 

     Perry has recently built a 330-acre movie studio complex in Atlanta, Georgia. The studio features many sound stages named after black Hollywood icons. This studio was built on a former Confederate Army Base, which was made to keep people enslaved in America. This space came from being a place where people were controlled to having a black African-American owning the space.

      Perry’s new achievement gives excitement to his fans. High school stuent, Jalicia Norman, is very proud of how far Perry has come. She said, “It’s a great accomplishment for Mr. Perry, and I am very happy for him. I honestly think that he will go down in history for this studio opening.” High school sophomore, Alisha Mitchell, is happy that black industry has such a powerful man representing them. She exclaimed, “Yes the black community needs a strong business man like him to look up to and he is someone who will do it right.” The new studio keeps people engaged on how it will look like. Mitchell said, “Yes, I would love to see what it looks like and the new technology in it.” Mitchell also feels that the studio will bring many opportunities. She said, “I feel like this will bring so many new things and opportunities and maybe even I could get a job.” Perry is also planning on making a compound for women who are displaced some time in the future. High school student, Hunley Weston, thinks that Perry is on the women's side in this world of marginalization. She stated, “I think he's headed in the right direction with that move. Since women have been in a controversial topic before about having a voice and working, he is showing that he is on our side as well.” Perry’s legacy in this industry persuades people to realize that he is the right person for this studio. Norman feels nothing less than ecstatic to have him here. She said, “I think he was right for the opening of the studio. He has made movies that catered to the black community and gave many people a platform to show their talents and find their time in the spotlight.” Perry made this studio open to many people across Georgia.

       Atlanta citizens are curious to see how the studio looks. Perry built this studio to give people a chance to do what they love. He created so many pathways for people to get into the industry, guiding them and their ways to make them successful. This new studio will continue with what he started.
