Educational experiences I would say has got to be one of the most crucial parts of who a person grows into in their future. Now although, experiences in school can mean a multitude of different things to everyone, however, the general idea of a good or bad experience in school leading up to how a person interacts within society in the future is generally a common thought to be explained. Educational experiences are ones that somehow and for some odd reason stick around until the interaction of say good or bad experience parts ways and becomes a past interaction that either disseminates or departs within the future.
There is a spread of differences when it comes to what people think about the school system and its effect on students’ futures. Sophomore Erin Cooper shares, “I think that sometimes it can be a little sketchy the way the school system works”, and personally, I can’t deny her thoughts about the system either. It’s a hit or miss on whether the school system is truly helping students grow into having the life skills needed for a sustainable life, or if they’re simply getting us through to eventually release students into reality. Though unfortunately, society believes that a college degree is a guarantee to living that sustainable lavish lifestyle that everyone wants. Though I think given the generation today, not everyone needs a college degree to live the life they want and agreeing, Erin believes, “people make a great life for themselves even if they don't go to college or if they have a college degree because they could always make their own business or something”. Another clear way of saying that not everyone needs a college degree to live a comfortable life they may never had.
Along with the school system, the job system is as well a hit or miss in relation to having a degree to work a simple desk job or be a simple manager, etc. Though not having a degree simply based on educational experience does not mean an automatic failed life. Senior Sophia Clark says, “Just because you have a bad education experience does not mean that you will have bad job experiences and not strive”. Getting a job truly should not have any correlation in having a piece of paper that has the words “Bachelor’s Degree” written on it in order for an employer to recognize you. Though ironically, having a degree does not state that you are qualified for a certain position, sad to say. There are so many people that cheat their way through the education system, “you could have a degree but not be the brightest person or be the person that could find a solution to a problem easily” Sophia explains. Now not to say no one deserves the position they’ve obtained, but sometimes there is that special bunch or that special person that may not care so much to work fairly to achieve a degree or a life everyone wants.
The education system is hit or miss. You either get the degree through hard work or you the degree through cheating your way through the system and all they way to the top, but frankly no one would know given in today’s society, the world is all about who you have become in the future and not what you were in the past.
