Super Bowl 53 took place in Atlanta, Georgia on February 3, 2019 at 6:30 PM, with the New England Patriots taking on the Los Angeles Rams. This game was a low scoring game, with half of it tied 3-3. It was said to be the most boring Super Bowl game ever. A lot of people were saying even the entertainment was bad.
Many people said the Super Bowl was so boring, because it was a low scoring game. It was not very exciting. When Terry Mcburnett of Powder Springs, Georgia was asked if it was worth watching or going to the game, he stated, “ No not really, because it was a close, boring game.” When Terry was asked why did he think the game was not high scoring, he said, “Good defense, and some poor calls were made.”
Some people said, after the halftime show, that it was inappropriate for the audience to watch. Mainly, because people of all ages were watching it. When Susie Bates of Hiram, Georgia was asked what she thought of the halftime show she said, “It was ok, but I would have preferred Adam to keep his shirt on and the other singer to not be there at all since they had to bleep out half the lyrics.” When 31 year old Sylvia McBurnett was asked how she felt about Maroon Five and the halftime show she said, “Personally I like the artist that they chose, but that’s my type of music. However I thought Adam Levine was a little to raunchy.”
When Sylvia was asked how she felt about the National Anthem performance she said, “I think that the change in rendition of the music is what made the song not sound good.” When she was also asked about the performance of “America The Beautiful” by Chloe and Halle, she said, “I did not like the music I think they should have stuck to the original sound, the low pitch girl didn't sound that good, but the high pitch girl sounded great.”
People disagreed with the halftime show, because it was inappropriate for different age groups. It seems to be that some people like the original way that the national anthem and “America The Beautiful” are sung, so when artist change the rendition people do not like it. Besides all of the negative comments made, one of the better things about the Super Bowl is the commercials promote businesses with funny and memorable commercials.
