Second semester choice

Education has had a huge part in this pandemic. Thousands of student’s educations were impacted due to this Pandemic. This has been hard on parents because students are home and parents have to go to work and can’t always stay home to watch their kids and also because not every student has had a fully virtual education. The first half of the Semester for Cobb County schools was online for every student from there they got a choice.
Cobb County created a website called CTLS which was created for students to have an easier education. This website was also created for parents to allow them to keep track of their kids. Although this website has helped a lot to give students the education they need, Cobb county has opened schools for those who want to go back. This has not risen as much because students and staff are following guidelines and doing a good job. No matter how much teachers try it will never be the same for students online because the teachers are not physically there to see what the students are doing.
One good decision Cobb county has made is giving parents and students the choice to return because there are some students and parents that are not ready for face to face learning and do not support it. Mohammad Khan said, “If I was still a student for Cobb county I personally wouldn’t go back to school because Corona isn’t gone yet, and you can never be safe because you don’t know if people around you could be affected.” Daniella Torres also thinks the same, “she states,” There are many people that think you can never get the education virtually that you can get face to face. Sana Khan said, “In my opinion, no matter how hard teachers try they will never know what a student is doing like there are so many easy ways to cheat online and students always find a way to cheat.”No matter how much effort teachers put students will not get the same education.
This Pandemic has impacted the whole world in one way or another especially students because their education has not been the same. Whether you are going to school or staying online you should always be safe and wear a mask. Second semester will be easier because most kids will have a better understanding and know how it works and it will not be the first time with virtual learning. Although it will not be the same as a face to face education it will be a bit easier. It would be drastically easier for teachers and students if all students were either online or face to face because this half students virtual and half face to face can confuse teachers and they must do double the work.
