Sabrina Claudio’s Newest Album

Sabrina Claudio is singer-songwriter who would fall into the genre of R&B/Soul or New Age Soul. People are loving her latest album and her two mixtapes, an extended play, otherwise known as an EP. Her first album, Confidently Lost, was an EP released on March 3, 2017, with a total of seven songs. About Time, appeared on her first mixtape and was released on October 5, 2017 featuring two songs that charted on Billboards Emerging Artists list, one being Unravel Me reached 22 on the list, and Belong To You soared to number 2. It is unheard of to have two songs from the same mixtape to reach the same list.
The singer recently released an album on October 4, 2019, titled Truth Is. In a press statement, Claudio stated, “The song is about emotions we often think of but are afraid to voice – the feelings we try to convince ourselves we don’t actually feel. Those two words, truth is, symbolize everything this album is about.” Nyla Lee loves listening to Sabrina Claudio, “...pretty much whatever she puts out I'll listen to. When I listen to Sabrina Claudio I feel as if she's speaking to me, not directly, but to my soul. Her music brings a sense of peace and love, which to me personally is what life's all about.” Claudio is known for her sultry and soulful voice and she most definitely kept that alive in this album. The cover of this album is a picture of her sitting on the floor in a blush pink dress surrounded by drawings of all of the people who had a part in the making of the album. One person who helped create the song Truth Is the original and spanish version, was Julia Michaels who is also a singer-songwriter and is known for her song Issues.
Many have already listened to the album such as Lee and Damon Brown. Journee Martin on the other hand has not listened to her new album, “ No, I haven’t heard that album but now that you mentioned it I want to.” Granted she has only heard one song by Claudio titled ‘Frozen’ but she loves the tone of her voice regardless. Sabrina Claudio is not like other artists but in some ways she is like them, especially in the style of music. Damon Brown, who is a local entrepreneur thinks, “She’s not different really. I listen to artists like her just to name a few, H.E.R., Daniel Ceaser, J’hene Aiko...she’s my kind of artist. Has a Sade vibe...in a small way.” For those who do not know Sade is a British-Nigerian singer-songwriter and actress, who is known for her songs Smooth Operator, By Your Side, No Ordinary Love, and many others.
Sabrina Claudio is a refreshing fresh voice of the neo, new age soul movement for this generation. The richness of her voice, the tone and her way with lyrics all but beckons you to listen to her entire catalog without the need to skip songs, whether you are cleaning your room or just enjoying Starbucks on a rainy day.
