On October 10, 2019, the show Rhythm & Flow came out on Netflix. The show became very popular in a short amount of time. The show has 10 episodes in the first season. In the first four episodes, each judge is going to four different cities for auditions. The judges are looking for the next big rap star just like them…
The judges are Cardi B, Chance The Rapper, and T.I. ( TIP). These artists are very popular with their music. The first city they went to was Los Angeles and all the judges were there. Then it was New York auditions and Cardi B took over with that one, inviting some special guest to help her see who is going to LA. The special guest were Fat Joe and Jadakiss At a club called, S.O.B. to find the East Coast rappers ready to represent in Cali, the next city was Atlanta. Atlanta has produced the most popular rappers such as Andre 3000, Outkast, Migos, Lil Baby, Gunna, and more. T.I. took over the Atlanta Auditions. He also invited some special guests to help him decide who is going to LA, he was alongside Quavo and Big Boi in hip hop’s new mecca. The last auditions were in Chicago. Chance the rapper took over those. Presence and prowess are key for chance as he joins Lupe Fiasco, Twista and Royce Da 5’9” in seek for the Midwest’s best.
After the judges picked their choice of who should go to LA, all of them would go to LA. Right when they arrived in LA, there was a challenge. The competition after that got harder and harder, trying to eliminate to see who is ready or not. At the end of each episode, there was someone going home. In the last three episodes, it got really stressful for the contestants. The top four were D smoke from Cali, Flawless Real Talk from New York, Londynn B from Atlanta, and Troyman from Atlanta. The finalist all had something to prove, that they can overcome any challenge or anything someone throws their way.
I do not want to spoil the whole show but it is very interesting and funny with all the judges showing their different personalities. Cardi B, T.I., and Chance The Rapper all have their own flavor and style and give their honest opinions, which makes the show so raw to watch.
