Pollution - the Destruction of the World

A dead whale washed ashore in the Philippines. This whale had more than 88 pounds of plastic found inside from people polluting the environment. The whale’s stomach contained grocery bags, plastic garbage bags, four banana plantation sacks and 16 rice sacks.
When Matthew Fennell of Dallas, Georgia was asked how he feels about pollution he said, “If we are polluting the atmosphere, our natural resources such as farms, our water supply, or the earth at large then it would be hazardous or harmful for everyone.” When Matthew was asked should we take pollution more seriously he stated, “The world should take pollution more seriously, because the earth and atmosphere takes care of us.”
When Linda Self of Villa Rica, Georgia was asked how she felt about the whale she said, “It’s very sad that the world has come to the point where animals die of pollution everyday, it needs to get under control.” When Linda was also asked how could we try to prevent this she said, “Well, we could try to catch people littering and doing things they are not suppose to do and punish them somehow.”
When Michael McBurnett of Cobb County was asked why he thinks people do not really seem to care about pollution he explains, “Some people simply don’t realize how we are being affected by it. They don’t ever think that we could be in that state.” When Michael was asked why do people not really care about animals and even where he lives he said, “They are stuck on themselves, selfish and really don’t care about anyone else except themselves and their families.”
Pollution has begun to increase more because people do not care about anything or anyone else anymore. Life has been taken for actions of the people. This whale was killed simply by resources that were not put in the right places and found their way to the whale, killing it.
