Just this past Monday, Beyoncé and Jay-Z announced their dual tour that is kicking off on June 6, 2018. The announcement was made on Instagram, Ticketmaster, and Beyoncé’s website. Once the word was out everyone lost their minds and immediately started spreading the news.
With 2017 being one of best years for both of the artist after their albums were released, there is lots of buzz going around about the couple and their endeavors. With them being such a private couple, once we got a glimpse into their private life through their albums they have been all of the buzz.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z are such popular public figures that they have the ability to reach all different generations. Whether you are in elementary, high school, college, or work a nine to five I bet you know the lyrics to at least one “Lemonade” song.
High school student, Ashley Koffi, was excited to speak to me about the upcoming dual tour. Koffi said, “I want to attend because it’s Beyoncé and Jay-Z. They’re iconic.” Koffi also commented on if their relationship problems were genuine: “No [the problems weren’t for publicity]. They are private people, but Beyoncé needed to express her feelings through music to let it all out.”
College student, TJ McCray, also shared her thoughts on the upcoming tour. McCray started off by saying, “I don’t want to attend because I think it’s crazy that they’re having a tour right around tax time.” McCray also had a little bit of a different perspective on the couple’s public relationship problems: “I feel like their relationship problems were genuine, but how they told the world was for publicity.”
Whether you like it or not Beyonce and Jay-Z are taking over once again this year. With the tour coming up and Beyoncé’s Coachella performance, they will not be out of the limelight any time soon. Better start collecting your lost coins if you want to see them on the run.
