Of course I have my own complaints about it, but overall it’s a good show and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for future seasons.” People have judged the show prior to its release based on their assumptions of how it will be portrayed compared to High School Musical. High school er, Camila Sheer, emphasized that they both are good in their own way. She said, “To some point yes, but also no. I mean, the show is literally based off of High School Musical and it’s in the title, but it’s also a completely different story and it’s not supposed to be a remake. So my answer is both yes and no you can compare the similarities, but don’t compare which is better and which isn’t because they are both amazing in their own way.” It has been confirmed that the next season of the show will do a production on Beauty and The Beast. High school er, Nikki Wright, looks forward to the new season of the show. She stated, “There's so much anticipation towards next season! However, I'm mostly excited to see the music and the fact that they're taking on Beauty and the Beast is incredible because it's such a beautiful Disney movie. I just can't wait to see how they put it together. I'm also really for more character development, more blooming friendships and relationships. I can't wait to see how the next season has stepped up.” The characters on the show had a big development in season one. Wright related to one character the most. She said, “I would say I relate to Gina Porter the most. She is one of the most characters that has family and financial issues that she feels like there's no way out but to shine. I think she is a character that isn't necessarily mean but, she is headstrong and she doesn't like people in her way, however it causes her to committee to the actions and mistakes that she doesn't think clearly about.” The characters on the show impact their fans in many ways.
HSMTMTS is a huge Disney success. Wright would rate the show an nine. She said, “I would give the show a solid 9. It's a really amazing show with uplifting story lines that could go on throughout the series.” This show is the start of something new.
