Normani Motivates Her Fans

Normani Kordei Hamilton is a singer songwriter. She is a former member of the girl group Fifth Harmony. Lately she has been coming out as a new solo artist. She has done many favored songs like Love Lies with Khalid, Waves with 6LACK, Body Count by Jessie Reyez with Kehlani. Now these days she has come out with not only the music video but also her hit single Motivation. Motivation came out on August 16, 2019, and since then, it has been blowing up on YouTube with 40 million views and 1.3 million likes. Many celebrities have raved about how amazing she is, Cardi B shouts out Normani on instagram saying, “ LAWD!” Besides Cardi B, many students from hillgrove high school feel the same way.
Nathalia Davison is a sophomore at Hillgrove High School. She also talks about Normani’s new Motivation song and her uprise. Nathalia says, “ Um I really think she is um a role model especially for like young ladies that are like African American and of different races. I feel like seeing more celebrities and singers that look like a lot of young girls now or similar to them gives them somebody to look up to or somebody to relate to kind of empowers all young women but especially young women of color.” Normani can be seen as a role model for young ladies and can be an example towards young women of color. Just like her former group members Noramni has shown a great deal of talent. Nathalia suggests, “I really think she could actually. She's just..she gives off like you know Beyonce when she broke off from her group she was kind of like.. You know she had that appeal to everyone. I feel like Normani has that. Being herself you know showing off that she loves who she is. She is perfectly capable of keeping her career up on her own.” Many people have said that Normani is the “Next Beyonce.” She has shown people that she can hold her own. She’s an independent and confident woman.
Normani is not only a successful singer but a talented dancer. She has starred in many shows from Dancing With The Stars. She has co starred with Val Chmerkovskiy. She states, “Um more of her like dancing talents were like projected in her own videos. She is showing off more. I’m thinking that it made more people look at her and people look into it.” Normani is seen as a triple threat. She has shown the world that she can make it in the music industry, whether it is in a pop group or as a solo artist. As she does all this she teaches young girls what it means to be your true authentic self.
