The 77th NBA regular season started on October 18th, 2022, and basketball fans are ready to see their teams go into action on the court! On Saturday April 15th, the 2023 NBA Play-In Tournament will begin, followed by the 2023 NBA Playoffs both presented by Google Pixel. Students at Hillgrove Highschool shared some of their predictions on how this season will turn out for certain teams and who they think will make it to the final.
Charles Futch player on the freshman basketball team at Hillgrove. And a fan of the Golden State warriors expressed his feelings regarding the team, “I like their play style” he says; “they play fast and have quick ball movement”. On October 18th, 2022, Golden State Warrior played their rival team the Los Angeles Lakers for the opening season game. Charles had multiple high expectations for his favorite team given that it is a superstar team. He additionally held their star player, Stephen Curry to the highest standard. “I expected Curry to have 20 in game”. The Warriors is a promising team. They have Superstar players, good coaches, and greats skills. They won finals last year against the Celtics and Charles believes they’ll make it to the finals again this year, “Nets, Philadelphia, and the Lakers”. Were the teams he said we’re going to probably make it to finals this year.
Quinn Augur also a freshman at Hillgrove is an NBA fanatic. He believes the Celtics have a lot of potential this year, “they have young players, a lot of depth, and they’re going to win the season”. he said Quinn has a lot of hope in the Celtics this year, but not because they’re his favorite team, “well like I said their team is looking good this year, more skill sets from the new players, and they were contenders for the playoffs last year”.
Sounds like some of these may have a different turn out towards final this year. But we will just have to see! You can sometimes watch the games live online or tune into some channels like ESPN or ABC.
