Trippie Redd’s new album, A Love Letter to You 4 came out November 26, 2019. He is different from most modern day rappers and the album is filled with features from other liked rappers. The rapper’s music style and different genres have caught the eyes of fans. In this album, he changes things up and sings in most of the songs rather than rapping.
Nowadays, every rapper and artist are trying to stand out and be different. Nathan Weinstock states, “Trippie Redd in my opinion is different from other rappers because he talks about real things in his music like heartbreak and tough times, where other rappers just rap about guns and money.” Writing songs about things fans can relate too is very important in order to grow as an artist and connect with the people listening. Caroline Cox thinks, “I really like this album because it has a variety of different styles of songs compared to his others which are strictly just rap.” The diversity in this album draws in a lot of different listeners and can probably relate to many.
Albums tend to stick to one genre of music and that genre can determine the mood or feeling that is best to feel when listening. Will Moore says, “I feel you can listen to this anytime, because there are many different types of songs so you can vibe with at least a few for any mood.” A Love Letter to You 4 touches on different speeds and instruments and the topics he mentions in each song are all different.
