Bachelor Finale

One of the most addictive reality T.V. shows, The Bachelor, first aired in 2002. On this season of the Bachelor, Peter Weber was chosen to be it and he was previously a contestant on the last season of the Bachelorette. Peter had 30 women at the beginning, and each week he would cut down women by not giving them a rose. He did this all the way to the final two girls, who were Hannah Ann Sluss, and Madison Prewett. The fans had been anticipating all season long on who Peter was going to propose to, which took place in the finale episode. The finale was a two-night premiere that just aired this past Monday, March 8th and Tuesday, March 9th. The fans' reactions were all over the place after this very controversial finale ending of the 24th season.
Hannah Graham, a Junior at Hillgrove is very disappointed in how Peter handled his end of the season. Graham claims, “He should have never proposed to Hannah Ann if he knew he still had any feelings for Madison.” This is a common reaction for a lot of the fans since he ended his engagement with Hannah Ann shortly after he proposed. Hannah also thinks that Peter knew all along he wanted Madison but since she left early, Hannah stayed,“He forced himself to be with Hannah, which is so wrong to do.” Hannah is happy that Hannah Ann seems like she is doing well even after her heart was broken. Paige Cook, a sophomore at Hillgrove had a similar opinion and thought what Peter did to Hannah Ann was,“Horrible and very selfish of himself to do that.” However, Cook was also very mad about when Madison came out and talked to Peter about potentially getting back together. Paige stated, “Even if Peter's mother didn't like Madison at all, she should have never disrespected her like that on live television.” Cook also claimed that, “ I thought it was very poorly of his mom to roll her eyes every time Madison spoke, and she should have kept her opinion to herself at that time.”
Several fans were very upset with how the finale ended along with Paige and Hannah. People think Peter made a horrible decision in proposing to Hannah Ann when he knew he still liked Madison. Many fans also think that Peter's mother's reaction to Madison was very uncalled for, especially for a mother to say those comments to a 24 year old on love television. This season's finale ended with the Bachelor, Peter Weber being single, so many fans believe the season was pointless due to the fact he never found love.
