At an intimate concert in New York City at iHeart Radio Headquarters, christian singer, Lauren Daigle, announced that her album, Look Up Child, will be going on a world tour in 2020.
Throughout the year of 2019 Lauren Daigle has been on tour doing countless amount of shows. They have been all across the United States and places like France, Germany, and The Netherlands. During her tour, she made a stop in Valdosta, Georgia this past June. Although 2019 demanded a lot of traveling, Daigle and her crew felt led to do more.
The Look Up Child World Tour is a 44-date tour that will begin in Australia, through the United States, and ending in her hometown, Lafayette Louisiana. She is also adding American folk singer, JohnnySwim to the tour. In the middle of the tour Lauren Daigle will arrive in Atlanta to play at the State Farm Arena in May.
Many Daigle fans are super excited to have Lauren Daigle in their hometown. Nancy Tyler, from Powder Springs who has been to a Lauren Daigle concert said, “Oh, I think it’s fantastic. I am so excited that she’s coming to our hometown and we don’t have to drive too far so I think it’s just wonderful.” Yvette Watson, from Powder Springs discussed, “I’m here for it 100% just as long as she can handle it physically because I can imagine it being draining to travel and perform back to back.”
When Tyler went to Lauren Daigle’s concert she said, “Yeah it was just you knew you were in the presence of a lot of believers and you just felt safe to listen to her and worship with her and with everybody in the crowd.” Ginny Bell from Madison, Georgia, who also went to a Daigle concert said, “It was very emotional.” She also stated, “She sounds like she does on the radio, but better.”
Lauren Daigle is also bringing in American folk singer, JohnnySwim. Watson said, “One thing that stood out was their faith and love for God and one another and that in itself is filtered out through their music. I’m obsessed!” Nancy Tyler said, “Lauren Daigle has such a huge platform and for her to bring on a new and upcoming artist well, that will be fantastic for him.”
Look Up Child was released in September of 2018. No one ever expected it to be as big of a success as it is now. She has reached out to many people in broken and lost places. Tyler stated, “She has a really great voice and she has an ability to really make you feel what she is singing about.” Yvette Watson explained, “I enjoyed watching her grow in her as an artist but more importantly as a believer. She remained humble and poised as she continues to tear down the barriers of christian music on a secular platform all while proclaiming God’s faithful in our lives.” Daigle’s most famous song on the album is You Say. Watson discussed, “Well, for one if you are struggling with identity, this is the song for you. When the enemy or world is telling you one thing, God is saying who you actually are. Which is love, worth, strong, and you are enough because God is enough.”
Lauren Daigle’s World Tour is most likely to have every show be a big success. Whether good or bad, Lauren Daigle will do what she does best, and that is sing.
