When it comes to celebrity breakups, fans always take them to heart. Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott are no exception of a breakup that shook fans. Considering they have a baby together, and were known as a social media power couple, everyone was shocked to hear they decided to split after two years of being together. Is there hope of them getting back together? How will their baby be affected?
Emily Bond, a Hillgrove sophomore, feels that fame impacted their breakup strongly: “Everything they do the public can see, and there is no privacy.” With their lives constantly being watched by everyone around them, maybe their relationship became too impersonal. Having a baby together may have also impacted their dating life, but now that they are broken up it may be hard to manage. Bond believes Travis will remain in the picture, “Because he is a father figure now.” Scott’s traveling career could make it difficult to remain in his daughter's life, but his maturity in this situation can only be judged by his effort to see her and remain involved. Having a baby at such a young age can take a toll on two people who are trying to live out their dreams.
The real question on everyone’s mind is why they broke up, and what led up to their split. “Maybe they just lost interest in each other in their busy lifestyle,” believes Kate White, another Hillgrove student. She also believes, “Having a public relationship put pressure on them.” Remaining in popular belief, their time in the spotlight may have been what led them in the wrong direction. It can be difficult to maintain a relationship considering their nationally known fanbases and lavish lifestyles. “They are each their own individual person,” says White. Focusing on themselves could be exactly what they needed to grow.
Tori Phelps is yet another who believes the fame and attention got in the way of a healthy relationship. “A lot of pressure was put on them… they were not allowed the privacy most people have.” This impact seems to overrule any other option for what led to their end. She also felt like the accusations of Scott cheating on her could have created a lack of trust between them. “That caused a lot of tension between them,” said Phelps. Whatever the reason was, there will always be questions about what really happened between them. As for them getting back together fans will continue hoping for the best.
