Kevin Hart’s Unexpected Car Accident

     The actor- comedian Kevin Hart appeared to be in a car accident on an early Sunday morning around 12:45 A.M.
In the rolling hills of Malibu, Kevin Hart was in the crash of his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda. According to a TMZ report, the car rolled off Mulhollond Highway deep in a gully 10 feet off the road where the roof was crushed. There were two other people in the car with Hart, the other passenger, Rebecca Boxterman and Jared Black, the driver. Everybody in the Barracuda is okay but, Hart and Black are facing “major back issues.”

     No one in the vehicle was under the influence. However, police determine that excessive speed may be a factor. Right now, Kevin Hart is currently in UCLA Medical Center and is recovering. TMZ reporters caught up to Hart’s wife, Eniko Parrish, on her way to get coffee. “He’s great. He’s going to be just fine.” 

     As Kevin Hart recovers, many co-workers of Hart and celebrities began to send out support on social media. Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson wrote on Instagram “Stop messing with my emotions brother @kevinhart4real. We have a lot more laughing to do together. Stay strong.”
A senior at Hillgrove High School, Cate Crawford stated, “I mean, it’s sad, it’s a sad thing when somebody gets hurt because of somebody else’s actions, but um I think it could have been prevented and I’m glad that the consequences were not as severe.” When asked the question, could this have been prevented, she discussed “Yeah, if people would follow the law it would be less likely to happen if they weren’t speeding."

     The outcomes in car accidents often lead to compromise or putting big careers on hold. Kevin Hart is at risk for his comedy career to be put on hold. “Probably the live shows,” said Camden Schell, a freshman at Hillgrove. For many fans they might be understanding but other fans may be very upset. The same way there are short term effects of the crash like taking time off work, there are also long-term effects of car accidents. In the accident Hart faced “major back issues” may have the potential to live with Hart for the rest of his life. “Since he’s a stand-up comedian he has to stand up a lot so that can really damage his back.” Said Schell.

     Car crashes are traumatic for everyone. Kevin Hart may face back issues for the rest of his life. Or this could be something that goes away within a few days. Most know that Kevin Hart does not give up and this obstacle is certainly not going to hold him back.
