Justice League is in theaters right now
And is currently milking more money than a cash cow.
It's prequel, BVS, directed by Zack Snyder
Crashed and burned with critics like a fire.
It had bad writing, bad visuals, and Jesse Eisenberg being too spazzy
So much so that the actor himself even won a bloody Razzie.
Thankfully, this year’s Wonder Woman was a critical hit
Even Dylan Mossor liked it, and said “it was lit”.
So, does Justice League also help alleviate the pain?
Well, to get the answer, please let me explain.
The story begins with the Batman fighting crime
And then learning about a threat due to arrive in time.
So he must assemble a team of the brave and the bold
After bringing Wonder Woman into the fold.
These heroes include the Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg too
Along with a certain hero in red, yellow, and blue.
With his team now assembled and made,
Batman must now stop a warlord who plans to invade.
Right out of the gate, this fact can be said
To be told that it is an improvement is not being misled.
The plot is straightforward and not at all jumbled
Whereas BVS’s story was clustered and fumbled.
All of the actors bring a decent amount of charm
Even Batman spends less time brooding and bringing needless harm.
The Flash in particular steals the entire show
While the other characters, like Cyborg, also give the film a good flow.
On top of that, the DCEU has now seen the day
Where Superman is finally the hero standing for truth, justice, and the American way.
As for the action, there is lots to be found
With plenty of spectacle, color, and one-liners by the pound.
In terms of problems, the pacing does feel a bit fast
Since the two hour runtime is not overly vast.
The CGI can also look a little too fake
For a film that took billions upon billions to make.
Compared to BVS though, they are not very distracting
Just do not expect a film that is incredibly impacting.
Overall, Justice League is an enjoyable ride
And for the DCEU, that is worth a bit of pride.
Also, stay for the credits after they are depleted
For when they start, the film is not truly completed.
Without giving away too much, in order to be fair
It involves a race and Joe Manganiello with grey hair.
Final Verdict: B+
