Schools in the last few years have made several changes in order to adapt with the environment around them. School in 2019 went completely virtual forcing all students and staff to learn how to teach and learn all through computers and screens. Schools then stayed virtual for an entire year working off things like CTLS and zoom. Schools then decided to allow kids to come back to school which was completely optional. Some kids returned others did not. According to Dylan Garcia who attended Hillgrove High School stated “My school experience has really changed due to going online then in person but not fully and then finally everyone in person, it’s been a lot of shifting and adapting to do these past years… I think Schools using CTLS and Zoom to communicate and teach really made the most impact because even now teachers still incorporate that same technology side of school into everyday things making it relevant even after it is needed.” Teachers and students have had a lot of adapting to do by trying to learn how to use CTLS and be able to communicate while still doing schoolwork. Schools have also been giving out laptops to students, so they are able to access those online resources that are provided to them. Dylan went on to say, Schools have been using things like CTLS and other virtual tools to provide extra assistance with school and also providing laptops so kids could make better use of those resources allowed to them…School is very online and in classes mixed together to create plenty of resources and tools to help kids better understand the material, tons of kids use laptops every day in class led by teacher guidance.” Schools have done a major change by distributing laptops this has changed over the last year. Many kids in class now are working more on computer completing and turning in assignments more online now more than ever. This helps because computers and technology have the power to be able to help students learn at a whole new pace and environment.
Micheal Bell, a Hillgrove High School Senior states, “Most of this new education style came alive after 2019, we first started simply online then time went on people were coming back to in person and laptops were being given out for all students which was the start of this new technology teaching style.” School in the last coming years have constantly made a switch to more of an online side.
School have gone more advanced and more adaptive to modern day especially in the last few years. Schools went from only in person with very minimal technology then onto fully online and virtual having to use county/school/online provided resources like CTLS and zoom. Onto Now, Kids in all classrooms typically have computers and most of the teachers use this to their advantage and include technology in their teachings to be able to make resources available to students.
