The holidays are a special time of year, whether you celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah Hillgrove has a place for you. With multiple clubs celebrating this season such as Shop with a Hawk, Deca the Halls, or a club having some hot coco for the festive season everyone has found a way to get involved. These activities are welcome to everyone as Hillgrove has made a point to promote these holiday giving opportunities as much as possible with morning announcements appearances, or the bright colorful posters you see in the hallway, there is no way Hillgrove high school will let you forget about all the amazing opportunities they have this holiday season.
During the holiday season everyone is prompted to get involved but especially teenagers, freshman Miles Glover has a promising idea on why that might be the case “to promote their self-confidence and make them more mature in life.” But in order to get involved we need to start at the begaining signups. When think on signing up to get involved one might say timing is important at least that is what senior Xavier explained when talking about support all year long “Where we can do like early like advertisements and like, get people like to like think about earlier” but is that enough. With just a few options for how to give around the holiday Cannaan Avery has some ideas for how to help more around the community “some other type of toy drive or like maybe donating something to like a women's shelter, something like that.”
