Could Hawk Hour Be The Answers to Your Prayers?

I woke up to the sound of the bell. Taking my earphones out I quickly stumbled out of my seat. I had fallen asleep and I missed the math lesson for the day. I did not know what I was going to do. How was I going to make up that missed time because I do not have time to go to after school tutoring. I stepped outside of the classroom and there it was, the answer to my prayers..... the Hawk Hour sign up sheet.
Hawk hour is every Tuesday from this semester. This one hour help session could be the difference from a failing grade to passing or from a B to an A. Students can get help in whatever subject they need. Students can choose from over 100 different sessions and they even have SAT/ACT prep. According to Mckenna Wheeler it is a great contribution to the schoo: “The students are given the opportunity to do better in a class and they should take that opportunity.”
This one-hour session could help a lot of people and their grades, but some students might take advantage of this free time. Many students have a one track mind when it comes to school and do not think the grades in high school will affect them in the future. Wrong! What you do right now will affect you for the rest of your life. Even small one-hour help sessions can make a big difference.
While Mckenna is using this time wisely for personal help her from her math teacher, many students like David Stretch take this time to have quiet time and go over anything students did not understand that day and try to re-teach it to themselves. Not all of us can be that smart so that is why Hillgrove have so many different sessions. “School come easy to me and I just like time to myself so I just go to the study hall in the library.”
Many parents also find Hawk Hour helpful for their kids. Donald Stretch (the parent of David Stretch) thought it was a great idea: “I think anytime you can get personal help from the teacher would benefit the student.”
Do not miss the opportunity to get help and raise your grade. Who does not like A’s? I sure do! Do it not only for yourself but to make your parents proud. Prove to them you actually do care and that good grades are not impossible. Take that next step and sign up for Hawk Hour. Help is just around the corner!
