Halloween Costumes From Emmy Nominated Tv Shows

The Emmys Awards were held on September 20 this year and Halloween is only about a month away. With quarantine having everyone stay home and watch some amazing tv, a lot of inspiration has already influenced this year’s Halloween costumes. Even though Halloween is unpredictable this year, the idea of combining your favorite show with this holiday will definitely leave you with some great Instagram posts.
Some shows that were nominated for the Emmys include Euphoria, Tiger King, Hollywood, Schitt’s Creek, and Ozark. There are a variety of different genres and types of acting that left a lot of people speechless. Ali Harrison, a sophomore at Hillgrove High School, explains, “Euphoria is probably my favorite because it gave me really good vibes even though it was kind of dark. I liked the plot and the charter development was really good.” What comes with a good show, also comes with a good soundtrack to pull it all together. Adian Boyle, a junior soccer player at Hillgrove Highschool says, “Schitt’s Creek soundtrack was good, I really liked it. But Tiger King would play Joe Exotics songs every once in a while and those are pretty epic.” The whole point of awards is winning one and with all of these diverse shows, it is pretty hard to guess who would win. Emma Peritie, a junior lacrosse player at Hillgrove Highschool, pre“Probably Euphoria because it’s extremely watched right now and it’s very popular. People are basing their aesthetics off of it and is talked about on social media.”
With Halloween right around the corner and COVID still taking over the U.S. who knows what it will look like on the 31st. Aidan Boyle is only taking one precaution and that is “ I might wear a mask.” While Ali Harrison explains, “I wear a mask everywhere I go. I always have sanitizer. I’m not hanging out with more than 10 people.” On a fun note, it will be easy to create your costumes this year. With simple outfits from Euphoria, Emma Perrttite demonstrates by dressing up her friend group from Euphoria, “ Lizzie is Cassie, I’m Jules, Caroline is Maddie and Kaylan is Lexi.” It’s easy to make your own costumes by either using your own clothes or looking at Walmart or Target. Ali Harrison says, “ I’ve looked at Shein and ASOS and have also done some thrifting.”
We do not know what Halloween holds this year, but thankfully there are good TV shows. The Emmys went great even though it was virtual and Zendaya is now the youngest to win the best lead actress. While everyone is looking forward to Halloween, keep COVID in mind, and stay safe.
