Carl Harrison High School is a 9-12 grade public high school in Kennesaw, Georgia, United States. The school has scored above the state average on the Georgia High School Graduation Test since it was built in 1991. Allatoona High School is one of sixteen public schools in the Cobb County School District. The institution opened in the fall of 2008, and is currently the most recent high school in the district. It is located in suburban Acworth, Georgia, north of Atlanta, in the United States. The school is named after the nearby Lake Allatoona. These two schools are going against each other in a football game to see who wins State for their region, which is 6A.
Harrison and Allatoona are going to play football for State Championship. They will be playing at the Georgia State Stadium, Friday, December 11, at 8:00 pm. Kailey Wyatt, a sophomore at Hillgrove High School, believes that Harrison High School will be the winning team. She states, “ I know for a fact that Harrison will be taking the trophy home, because they have already played Allatoona so there’s no way they are losing Friday night.” Kailey is not the only one that believes that Harrison will win. Mia Smith, a sophomore at Hillgrove High School, also claims that Harrison will win. Smith says, “Harrison will definitely win since they’ve played them in the past , they probably know their plays. Also, they probably study them and watch film a lot during this time.” Even though there is a lot of people rooting for Harrison, there is still hope for Allatoona.
Allatoona also has a high chance of winning, its 50 and 50. They can watch film and make new plays. Victoria Phelps, a sophomore at Hillgrove High School, has faith that Allatoona will win this Friday night football game. Victoria explains, “ Yeah, I know that Harrison has played against them in the past and Allatoona lost, but that doesn’t mean they won’t come back up. They can study films and work until they can’t. I feel like Allatoona has a higher chance of winning. Them losing the first time makes them want the trophy even more and make them work harder, especially because they are so close to it.” Even though many people are rooting for Harrison , there is still a high possibility that Allatoona can take the trophy home. Victoria believes that the winning score will be, 37-22, Allatoona taking the trophy home.
Overall, the purpose of a football game is to have fun and make memories. Do not take it personal to where you all would want to fight. Fighting will not get you anywhere, so just sit and relax, and watch the best team win.
