Friends Reunion

The television series, Friends is an American sitcom that almost everyone has loved.
The first episode aired on September 22nd, 1994 and its very last episode was on May 6th,
2004. There were a total of 10 seasons and 236 episodes over 10 years of the show airing! The
show was originally aired on NBC, but in 2015 it was put on Netflix. This allowed for the younger
generation to again fall in love with the show. Just recently two days ago, it was announced that a Friends
reunion show will be happening on HBO and the fans cannot wait!
Emma Power, a Freshman at Hillgrove is so excited about the new reunion show. She
claims,“I have watched every single episode of Friends and I love the show because it never
fails to make me laugh.” She then replies with, “I’ve always loved Jennifer Anniston and looked
up to her so much, and now that I've watched her on Friends it makes me love her even more.
Emma also explained how the show always cheered her up and she was so sad when she
finally finished the series. However on the other hand, Zoe Wagner, a Junior at Hillgrove,
is not the biggest fan of Friends. She explained how she has only watched a few episodes and
stopped after that. Her reasoning was, “I don’t see how so many people think the show is so
funny, it was dry humor to me.” Talking about the cast she said, “Phoebe was my favorite while I
was watching, I liked her quirkiness on the show.” Kailey Wyatt, another sophomore at Hillgrove
claimed that she was excited to see the new reunion show. Talking about what to expect she
says, “I think the new episodes are going to relate back to the old ones, but it’s just going to be
about their lives growing up.” She also said how she was looking forward to seeing what the
producers do with the reunion show and how it plays out.
As you can see, many people are thrilled for the Friends reunion show. Those who have
watched the whole series have been waiting a while for this to finally happen. No one really
knows what to expect though with the new episodes. Many say that it will be a continuation
of the old ones, but all fans are anticipating to see what the producers decide to make it into!
