Logan Paul and KSI have been feuding since 2018 and they wanted to fix it by boxing. Their first fight took place on the 25 of August, 2018 at 8:30 PM BST in the Manchester Arena, Manchester, England, and was streamed on YouTube's pay-per-view platform, and resulted in a majority draw, with two judges scoring it 57–57 and the other 58–57 in favour of KSI. This fight was promoted as “the biggest internet event in history.” They were not satisfied with the results so the rematch took place on November 9, 2019 at the Staples Center, Los Angeles, but this time, as a professional boxing match. In this match, KSI took the winning belt home.
This fight had an affect on both of them, positive and negative, more of a negative affect towards Logan Paul and more of a positive affect towards KSI. KSI could have not been more excited for his win, he has been waiting for this rematch since August. Erin Cater, a junior at Hillgrove High School, states, “I think his fans now hate him and think he’s weak but I am a fan of Logan Paul and even if he lost, I still think he is good. He embarrassed himself because he hyped the fight like he was going to win.” Jeanine Panu, another junior from Hillgrove High School, claims that the impact it has on KSI was more positive than negative. Panu says, “He’s probably really cocky now and probably going around thinking he’s better than everyone else but his fan base is going to grow because people are now wanting to know who he is.” Throughout this fight, it affected them both. They learned their rights and wrongs.
Logan Paul and KSI are not professional boxers, but seem to want to take their career to the next level and actually practice to become professional. This impacted Logan’s and KSI’s career in a positive way, they can both see it as “I’m going to practice, practice and practice because practice makes perfect.” These two fights have encouraged both of them to keep putting a lot more effort during practice. Mackenzie van Gelder, a freshman at Hillgrove High School, believes that no matter who lost or won that both will keep wanting to become professional boxer’s. Van Gelder states, “I think that even though Logan Paul lost, he will keep wanting to practice even harder, it motivates him. KSI will also continue wanting to be professional because him winning just gets him going and wanting more and more. They both have their minds set on what they want to keep doing what they are doing.”
Overall, this boxing match taught both, Logan Paul and KSI that they can handle their problems through a box matching and not through Twitter, Instagram or YouTube. It taught them to act like adults instead of middle schoolers with drama throughout the internet. If they are going to fight, they will do it because they want to actually be professional and love the sport boxing and for fame and money.
