Disney Creates a New Streaming Service

Disney is one of the most popular channels across the world. This fall, Disney will launch their own streaming service called Disney Plus. Disney Plus is an upcoming American subscription app that gives people service to watch past and present movies/tv shows that are owned by the Walt Disney company. It does not launch until November 15, 2019, but it is available for pre-enroll right now.
In mid-October, UBS surveyed 1,000 people, 86% of the people said they had heard of Disney Plus. Moreover, 44% of people said they were likely to subscribe. Disney Plus will have many new series available like the Proud Family reboot, Lizzie McGuire reboot and High School Musical the Series.
Disney Plus will give a lot of people the chance to relive their childhood. Hillgrove student, Emily Finch, is happy that she will be able to watch her favorite shows from when she was a kid. She said, “I’m excited about it because it gives me access to shows I haven’t watched since I was a kid.” High school senior, Jada Mason, loves Disney and thinks it will be very successful. She said, “It will be very successful, because once again everyone loves Disney and is willing to pay the movie to watch their shows. Plus, Disney is putting their new movies on there as well, which persuades people to subscribe to it as well.” Mason’s initial reaction to hearing about Disney Plus is very genuine because of her love for Disney. She exclaimed, “My reaction was, ‘HEY MOM! We’re getting that!!’ I was pretty happy because I love Disney!” Disney Plus can help people watch tv again. High schooler, Samantha Wolf, will watch tv again now that Disney Plus was created. She stated, “I’m excited about it because right now, there are not many shows on [cable] that interest me, which is why I don’t watch too much TV. So bringing back all the Disney shows I grew up with will make me want to watch TV more.” There have been many speculations on whether the reboots will be better than the original series. Wolf believes that reboots will never be as good as the originals. She explained, “Personally, I don’t think the new series will be better than the original. Usually when they try to make a spin-off from the original, it just doesn’t end up as good. For example, I loved Boy Meets World, but I can’t watch Girl Meets World because it just doesn’t seem the same.” Furthermore, Mason is also looking forward to the older series. She said, “The series I’m most looking forward to are the older series (better series) that used to be on Disney like, Suite Life on Deck, That’s So Raven, Kim Possible, etc.” Disney Plus will have a variety of shows and movies that people will love.
Even though Disney Plus has not launched yet, it still gets people anticipated because it shows how powerful Disney was to their lives and how happy they are to finally watch their favorite shows and movies again.
