Cold War and Warzone combined
By: Andy Garcia
The popular game mode known as Warzone is said to be integrated with Call of Duty: Cold War this December. This merge will include weapons, characters, and rank progression. Although they will merge Warzone will be kept on the same level.
Damien Alveraz, a frequent Warzone player said, “I think it is a pretty good idea, it is not something I have seen before but I think Treyarch can pull it off and still deliver a great game.” Treyarch, the creators of Cold War, have not merged two games in the past this will be their first time. Damien continued, “I’m looking forward to seeing how players adapt to new weapons and use them to their full potential.” New guns will be added to the game allowing players to try them out and adapt to them being in the game. Damien also said, “I think it will be bad at first because you cannot really know which guns are overpowered till people get to play with it but that’s why nerfing and buffing is a feature in most shooter games.” Weapon balancing in any shooter game is a priority, Warzone constantly gets buffs and nerfs to guns in order to make the game fun, fair, and enjoyable for everyone playing it.
Adam Olvera said, “The rank progression combined is an amazing idea because you can play whatever you want and still level up guns, and rank.” Rank progression merged allows players who have not bought Cold War to still level up their weapons and overall level. Adam went on to say, “I think it can affect it majorly because new guns and new ways to build them will be introduced making players have more variety and different power.” Warzone has many cash tournaments, and these new guns can affect them by giving players a whole new set of guns that may be tourney worthy.
Bryan Garcia says, “That was a great choice because the engine is incredible and gives such amazing gameplay and feeling for the players.” Warzone will stay on the same engine as it was previously on giving players smooth gameplay. He continued, “To attract more people to Warzone and bring old players back.” This merge between games allows both Warzone and Cold War to attract more players and give them more reason to play their game.
Warzone and Cold war are giving avid gamers a new way to play their game this December. Introducing features and weapons that can change the way the game is played. This merger can attract players and make people absolutely love the game.
