Most people know of Winnie-the-Pooh… a silly bear who lives in the Hundred Acre Woods. He has an appetite for honey and will even climb trees to get some. He also has many friends within the Hundred Acre Woods. His friends consist of Tigger, Eeyore, Owl, Piglet, Rabbit, Kanga, and Roo. Christopher Robin soon becomes apart of the group when he happens upon a hole in a tree at his childhood home. Upon entering he meets Winnie-the-Pooh who introduces him to everyone. Tigger the enthusiastic tiger. Eeyore the gloomy but loyal donkey. Piglet the timid little pig. Rabbit the stubborn, well rabbit. Kanga the warm and protective mother of Roo who is quite the adventurer. Lastly the wise old Owl. Christopher Robin would spend his days playing with Pooh and his friends. They all had a lot of adventures together. Like helping Pooh out of a jar of honey to searching for Eeyore’s tail. But eventually Christopher Robin had to move on.
Christopher Robin was finally put in theaters August third. The cast starting with Ewan McGregor as Christopher Robin. Hayley Atwell as lovely Evelyn Robin, Christopher’s wife. Bronte Carmichael playing as the adorable Madeline Robin, Christopher’s daughter. Jim Cummings as the voice for the silly old bear, Winnie-the-Pooh, and the exuberant Tigger. Brad Garrett as the voice for gloomy Eeyore. Nick Mohammed voicing timid little Piglet. Peter Capaldi as the voice for stubborn Rabbit. Sophie Okonedo voicing as protective Kanga. Sara Sheen is the voice for adventurer Roo. Finally, Toby Jones playing the voice of know-it-all Owl.
The now grown up Christopher Robin has a family and is currently living in the city of London where he deals with a mountain of stress from work to home. He is suddenly surprised by Winnie-the-Pooh who he can not believe is all the way in London. Winnie-the-Pooh is in London in search for his friends and with Christopher Robin’s help they find them. Along with finding them they all help Christopher Robin discover his joy of life. Many problems, good and bad happen. Pulling the joy Christopher once felt as a child now as an adult.
The movie has a lot of childhood memories for those who grew up watching Winnie-the-Pooh. An anonymous interviewee who has seen the movie said, “I felt like the movie brought me back to my childhood and it was such a chill calming thing.” When asked if they would watch the movie, Brianne Hatcher replied, “Yes, because I have always enjoyed Winnie-the-Pooh when I was little.” Even if you haven’t seen the original it is still a great movie to see for laughs and emotional moments.
