CFB Playoffs

College football’s energy and atmosphere is electric. Whether you tailgate, watch on TV, or go to the game, then energy is the same, everywhere you go. The playoffs turn the heat up even more. The college playoffs are chaos. 4 teams (Georgia, Michigan, TCU, and Ohio State), 2games. That wins a team a national title. The fans want it just as much as the players and as we enter the 2022 playoffs following a season full of upsets, this bracket can go any way.
Charles is a freshman (9) at Hillgrove and is a fan of the university of Alabama. Charles claims the playoffs are rigged. “Its rigged bruh. Bama should have got in, like TCU is hot trash.” he spoke. His playoff predictions were somewhat accurate, including Bama, Michigan, Georgia, and Ohio State in order 1st-4th seed. “ I think its bull. We don’t need any fake teams in the playoffs. We’re gonna have Alabama playing someone like FAMU or something. Come on now nobody wants to see that.” He spoke on the upcoming 12-team bracket for 2024. Charles claims to put his money on Michigan taking the title home, defeating Georgia.
Donovan Mack is a freshman (9) at Hillgrove and has Georgia as the number one team and winning it all. “ The Super Bowl is cool and whatever, but the National championship is hard because you just see all these young kids playing on TV like representing their state and all that. I just think the National championship is better than the Super Bowl.” He spoke about the National Championship. Donovan also had a word on the TCU loss this past weekend. He said, “ How are they going to lose to Kansas State, and then that little QB and to cry at the press conference and all that like it was his fault. I was going for TCU until they lost to like the 15th ranked team.” Tennessee’s recent ranking below Bama has the community filled with mixed opinions. Donovan said, “ It should be swapped because Alabama shouldn’t be in the playoffs first of all. Tennessee should be a top four team.” And on the USC playoff exit following their conference loss, Donovan said, “USC was trash anyways. They might have had that good little QB or whatever, but they weren't going to beat anybody else.”
Justin Massey is a sophomore (10) at Hillgrove and has Michigan winning the championship. “ I think Georgia is going to beat Ohio State and they are going to play Michigan in the National Championship, and I think Michigan will win.” He spoke. Justin claims that the rankings are biased, as he says, “Records really matter, and career records really matter. Like Nick Saban will always getting looked into the playoffs no matter what, and that kind of makes it pretty biased.” Justin’s top four teams almost match up with the playoff teams. Teams he said include Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, and Bama. “ It's pretty good, but I mean, I only really wanted Bama to make it in to create all the chaos, but I'm glad TCU made it in and I'm sad USC didn’t make it in.” He spoke. Justin claims the college football season was overall surprising, especially with all the Bama topics. “ I mean, I don’t really watch the world cup, so I don’t really know most people that watch the world cup, so I don’t really think it's affecting people that watch American football.” He spoke on FIFA and the playoffs happening at the same time.
So, with all that, college football has many voices representing many sides. The fans are very involved, and the energy is crazy. This year, things have gone in every direction ,and are going to continue to, until the end of the season. What are your playoff predictions?
