Auburn vs. Alabama

This past weekend was a major rivalry game between two big schools, Auburn and Alabama. Many people tuned in to watch this to see who would end up winning. Throughout this, fans from each team watched desperately hoping their team would take the win. The final score of the game was 48 to 45. Everyone was on the edge of their seats, with it being such a close game.
Laityn Stewart, a Hillgrove sophomore, watched the game from home. She says, “I think I like Auburn more because they both know they’re good, but Auburn doesn’t flaunt it as much.” Stewart believes, “They used to be kind of bad like low key, but now that they have a new quarterback they’re growing as a team.” Stewart states, “I think they deserved to win because they obviously worked hard for it and it payed off.” Stewart believes, “Obviously Alabama fans are going to say it's not fair, but I think the reffing was good to me. I think Alabama fans are talking about it more because they are upset that they lost.” Reina Dupree, a Hillgrove student, was rooting for Alabama this game. She states, “I did not enjoy watching the game because I’m a Alabama fan, so I didn’t like how we lost.” This game made Dupree feel bad. She says, “Because we deserved to win more than they did, but it all comes down to how we play, and we didn’t play our best.”
Michelle Aliu, a Hillgrove sophomore, enjoyed how entertaining the game this past weekend was. She says, “I think the game was really fun to watch and super competitive the whole time.” Aliu believes, “I think Auburn was overjoyed because I honestly didn’t expect them to win.” She states, “Yes I did like the outcome of the game because I am not an Auburn fan, but I always love to see Alabama lose.” Aliu believes, “I do think they deserved to win, because they worked hard and fought for the win throughout the whole game, even till the end.” She says, “I think Alabama was kind of embarrassed because I think they were expecting to win but when they didn’t it was kind of awkward.”
Overall, Auburn fought a good, tough win. Many people across the country that love to see college football tuned into this game. It was very interesting and had everyone on the edge of their seats the entire time. With it being such a close final score, it made some fans angry that were rooting for Alabama. Now Auburn will go on and keep fighting to do better.
