Ariana Grande is one of the biggest pop stars of this decade. Grande gained her stardom when she was on the hit Nickelodeon show Victorious. She portrayed a character called Cat Valentine on the show. The series aired from 2010-2013 before its cancellation.
Grande had a concert in Atlanta, Georgia for her Thank You Next Tour with a surprise. Ever since the cancellation of Victorious, Grande has remained close friends with a few of her cast mates. At her Atlanta concert, she invited Elizabeth Gillies, who played Jade West on the show, and Matt Bennett, who played Robbie Shapiro. They performed their hit duets with Grande like Give It Up and I Think You’re Swell.
During Grande’s concert, fans were surprised about the reunion of some of the cast mates. High schooler, Faith Munar, believed that the crowd went crazy. She said, “I bet the fans went wild. That is such a cool experience to be able to see and have your childhood memories be brought back up.” Many people were huge fans of Victorious when it was on. Munar misses the show very much. She stated, “Most definitely! Victorious didn’t have a proper ending and I really wish if anything just one season to explain how everything turned out.” High schooler, Sara Albadawi, was also very excited about the concert. She said, “I was really excited because I watched Victorious as a child so the fact that they all reunited made me nostalgic.” Prior to the Atlanta concert, people were skeptical about the concert to begin with because of the interactions between each of them on Twitter. 12th grader, Kathryn Hodges, knew something was up. She explained, “I was very excited when I heard about the reunion because I had seen Ariana, Liz, and Matt hinting at it on Twitter so I knew something was up.” She later felt it was a good idea to bring them to the show. She said, “I thought it was really cool that they sang together considering Ariana had to miss her concert the night before, so she got to do something special in Atlanta.” Munar loved the songs they played. She stated, “I liked the songs they played! It was fun to watch them perform old songs no one would expect them to sing again.” It is tough to choose just one song as their favorite, but Hodges had a favorite performance. She said, “Probably Liz and Ariana’s performance, but Matt’s performance was cute too!” The reunion of Victorious made everyone very happy at the Atlanta concert.
Grande is loved by many fans, whether it is her sweet personality or her amazing vocals, Victorious really help bring Grande to where she is today. Munar really admires Grande as a person. She explained what her favorite thing about her was. She said, “Just how much of a pure heart she has. She is always looking out for her family, friends, fans, etc and it’s really honorable.” Grande was victorious in Atlanta when she reunited with her longtime friends and surprised her fans.
