Many people do not know what happens behind the scenes of modeling. The requirements and standards are harsh and very strict. It is very surprising what models have to go through. First, models can not be too old or too young. Just a pretty face walking is not a thing! Models are made to sign harsh contracts. Also, strict diets and exercise routines. Many models starve themselves to desperately lose weight. Lots of people think modeling is so easy but, behind the scenes it is very crazy. So many models die from starvation and depression. A lot of foreign models die from bad health, because they are not taking good care of themselves.
Megan Wave said, “ I don’t know much about modeling but, what I do know is those girls have to be kept in line guys as well”. Explaining she says everything needs to be organized and models have to be properly managed. The things models have to go through physically and emotionally, is horrible. Someone telling a young man or woman they are not good enough.
Kya Green states, “I have been modeling for 3 years it has been very hard, people that think I am just a pretty face have just taken pictures really hurts me because I go through a lot of pain and sweat just to be called a pretty face”. Green explains there is a lot of pain behind that walk or that photo that has been taken. No one knows if that young man or woman is starving him or herself, or is going through something.
Brandon Cruz explained, “My sister has been through the worst because she wants to be a model from broken ankles and long nights up, it is very hard to be a model”. Modeling is an art, it is a passion. Explaining it is very hard to be a model!

There are two different types of models: commercial and runway. To be a runway model the height requirement is five foot seven inches. Commercial models are any height because they are photo shoot models and models on tv. Runway models are the real fashion models that have to walk down the runway in companies such as Victoria Secret , Gucci, Channel, and more. Many of these females and males have to go through so much just to walk down a runway or be in a single photo shoot.
