Does Hillgrove have school spirit? Hillgrove has many attributes that make school, fun and still be educational. Between the students who strive to succeed and to be successful, and the people who work hard to organize events, pep rallies, homecoming week themes, and even make football games worthwhile; Hillgrove has all deliberately successful kids and students who take pride in their school. Sophomore Jayme says, “School spirit means supporting your school, going to the games, and participating in activities like homecoming week.” Students can show off their school spirit in many ways; taking leadership, in academics, and athletics students can show off their school pride. Senior Kennedy says, “I feel like I could do more on my part and attend concerts, plays and show more school spirit because people put their all into what they do to show their school talent and feel like I should do my part by being supportive and attending.” Hillgrove has many activities that is offers including sports, clubs and community services and students prepare to show off their talents at meets and concerts so everyone should show support because it shows them that they’re not only doing it for themselves that they have students at school who will watch them perform and backing them up. Students support in the school shows how they are part of the school and being a part of the school means wearing apparel that reps the school, taking care of the school, and not being afraid to tell people what school you attend. Senior Makenzie says, “I really love to attend football games, it’s fun to socialize with friends on a Friday night after done with a week of school and start of the weekend.” Besides school people find things to do in their free time that is both fun and enjoyable, and that is school pride. Everyone has their own opinion, so do you believe that Hillgrove High School has school spirit?
